Butcher from Terrible Kids Stuff - Finished Pictures

Hey,

Whilst I've not posted anything in a while I've been busy in the background painting and basing. In fact away from the hobby life has been busy and now things are getting back to normal I'm hoping to be able to post more regularly again.

Here's the final pictures of Butcher from Terrible Kids Stuff (who won a Silver in the Euro Militaire competition - which I was so happy with).

The Big Boss - Pt1

Lots done already (although everything is wip) but you can see that my next big thing is the big boss from Infamy miniatures. He's quite a brute and quite a challenge (but very enjoyable) to paint.

30sec Tutorial - Quickly add interest to your metallics

Hey, time for another 30sec tutorial.

This one will help to quick add extra interest to your true metallics. After painting your metals gently wipe some tamiya weathering master burnt blue or burnt red onto your metallic paint. Then gently wipe the powdery bits off to leave a lovely coloured sheen. I used this method on the cogs on the tesla paint job I completed.....

Badger Pt4

He's nearing completion now, a few final tweaks here and there and then it's time for basing. My pick up some milliput first though!

This little guy is on fast forward at the moment as I'm loving him so much! Not much to say right now other than this is a blast to paint!

30 Sec Tutorial - Recycle your old brushes to make stippling brushes

This is truly a 30 sec tutorial and is another tip that was passed on by David Zabrocki. When the tip of your brush has waved goodbye and you've moved on to a new one you can easily create a stippling brush by cutting off the tip.

Stippling creates a lovely textured effect - I used it to create the tweed cloth on Tesla's trousers and the rust effect on this orc blade (painted within months of me starting this hobby).

Badger Pt1

Hi,

I've been working late into the night painting this fantastic little guy - Badger from Infamy Miniatures sculpted by the amazing Patrick Masson - and loving it!

Tesla - Finished

Hey friends,

I've finished Tesla, handed him over to James at Infamy Towers and I can now bask in the glory of knowing another project is finished. Oh, and start planning the next one :)

Tesla Pt5

Jumping many steps between Pt 4 and 5 we see Tesla nearing completion. As you can see I've gone down a true metallic route for the metals, steel and brass. Once again when I get some time (I guess as of next week) I'll add a couple more 30sec tutorials on how i achieve these effects quickly).

On another note if any of you play Destiny on PS4 and fancy a game add me, my psn is son_of_megazord.
